My original intention was to photography Sand Harbor for sunset but I did not want to accidentally get locked inside the gates. I parked up the road and started walking back but I soon realized there was no time to waste. I headed down a trail to the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe and found some foreground rocks that made a nice arrangement to anchor the tumultuous sky.
